What is Stochastic Printing Technology?
In conventional lithographic printing, images are printed using grid like screens, that separate the image into evenly spaced dots that are larger in size in the darker areas and smaller in size in the lighter areas. In four colour process separate plates are used to reproduce each of the four colours: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Stochastic printing uses random dot placement, hence varying the spacing between the dots. The dots are varied by density and frequency according to the tone value reproduced. Lighter parts have fewer dots, the darker areas have more. The overall effect is similar to the grain on photographic film and makes stochastic printing the ideal choice when reproducing pictures utilising solid colours, metals, glass and flesh tones.
In addition we can also offer CD Duplication and mailing and fulfilment services.
